On October 1, 2023 at WrestleDream, Copeland made his debut with All Elite Wrestling (AEW). He rescued Sting from a beatdown from Christian Cage, Nick Wayne, and Luchasaurus. In the post-event media scrum, AEW owner Tony Khan announced that Copeland had signed a contract to compete full-time. [13]

On the October 10 episode of Dynamite, Copeland made his AEW in-ring debut. He defeated Luchasaurus to also get his first victory in AEW.[14]

At Worlds End, Copeland defeated Christian Cage in a no disqualification match to win the AEW TNT Championship, his first title in a big company outside WWE. Minutes after the match, Cage would immediately use the title shot that was earned by Killswitch earlier on the pre-show and Copeland lost the title back to Cage.[15]

Copeland won the title a second time in an "I quit" match on March 20, 2024.[16] On May 26 at Double or Nothing, Copeland injured his leg in a title defense against Malakai Black, which was a barbed wire steel cage match.[17] He was stripped of the title by AEW executive vice presidents The Young Bucks (Matthew and Nicholas Jackson) on the May 29 episode of Dynamite.[18]

On December 28 at Worlds End, Copeland returned and helped FTR (Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood) in taking out the Death Riders (Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, and Wheeler Yuta). They formed the trio "Rated FTR".[19] Four days later at Fight for the Fallen, Copleland changed his ring name to "Cope".[20]
