In this Fishing Guide, you'll learn where and when you can catch an Eel as well as for how much you can sell this fish for.
Where Can You Catch an Eel

You'll need 1 Eel to complete the Night Fishing Bundle in the Fish Tank at the Community Center. To catch this type of fish, go to the ocean located at the beach south of town.
Alternatively, you could buy an Eel from the Traveling Cart for 255-1,000g.
When Can You Catch an Eel
Eels spawn during the Spring and Fall on rainy weather from 4 PM to 2 AM.

Another way to make a profit out of Eel is to put the fish in a Fish Pond where it'll make Brown Eel Roe. You can later turn this Roe into an Artisan Good by placing it in a Preserve Jar and making Aged Roe (which has a base price sell of 144g)
