Fans and newbies alike will be able to jump into the open-world action RPG very soon, but it all depends on where players are located and what platforms they are playing on. This short guide will go over all the different release times for Elden Ring, so players can start it as soon as possible.

Elden Ring launches on February 25 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X, but PC players will have access to it six hours before console players. • US (ET) Consoles - February 25 at Midnight ET / PC - February 24 at 6 PM ET
• Europe (CET) Consoles - February 25 Midnight local time / PC - February 25 at 12 AM CET
• Japan (JST) Consoles - February 25 Midnight local time / PC - February 25 at 8 AM JST
• Australia (AEDT) Consoles - February 25 Midnight local / PC - February 25 at 10 AM AEDT

Preloading is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, and Xbox consoles, so once Elden Ring launches, players can start the game immediately without waiting.

Does Elden Ring Have Co-Op?

Elden Ring is not a traditional cooperative game. Players can't just open a menu and connect with a buddy --it takes a little more than that. Elden Ring players, if connected online, need to craft an item called the Furlcalling Finger Remedy, which can summon other players into the game. This can be useful if players are struggling against one of the many tough boss fights or if two friends just want to mess around in the open world and explore together.

Is Elden Ring Crossplay?

And for folks wondering if Elden Ring supports crossplay, the answer is no. If someone is playing Elden Ring on PS5 and wants to team up with a friend playing on Xbox Series X, it's not possible --at least at launch. However, players on the same console family will be able to squad up. This means PS4 players can join a friend playing on PS5, and people on Xbox One or Series X/S can also play together.
