Elden Ring: Where To Go After Defeating Godrick - Cultured Vultures

With Godrick and his massive, spinny arms defeated in Elden Ring, you’re probably wondering where to go next. There’s lots of places between your main objective in the Lands Between, so it’s easy to get a little confused.

The next logical place to go after defeating Godrick is north and out of the battle arena and through the remainder of the castle until you eventually wind up in the Liurnia of the Lakes region. From there, go east and eventually down into the water and claim the map you soon find at the base of a plinth while travelling north through the lakes.

From here, you’re looking for the Academy of Raya Lucaria. Try to reach the green circled below, but beware of enemies.

You will notice a magic seal that you can’t access at a giant door near that Site of Grace circled above. Pick up the map for the key off a corpse at the seal, which directs you to the area marked above in red.

Travel to that area and you will encounter Glintstone Dragon Smarag, an optional boss that you don’t have to defeat to get the Academy Glintstone Key — you can just swipe it from behind the boss and ride away on Torrent.

However, it’s well worth defeating Smarag for the 14000 runes you get, which should be a level up at this point of the game. Just treat him similarly to Agheel, stay on horseback, and you should be alright.

Take the Glintstone Key back to the seal near the green circle above, then walk through and prepare for the Academy of Raya Lucaria, the cheesiest and most annoying section of the game so far. Expect a couple of bosses and a lot of sorcery spam.
