What Are Elder Guardians and What Do They Do in Minecraft

The Elder Guardian is the stronger of the two Guardians. They don't swim around as much, but they will follow any nearby players. The Elder Guardian has two attacks, one ranged in which it'll shoot lasers out of its eye and a melee in which it spikes up. Listed below is how much ranged damage they do.

• Easy: 5 Hearts
• Normal: 8 Hearts
• Hard: 12 Hearts

Listed below is how much damage their spikes do.

• Easy: 2
• Normal: 2
• Hard: 3

How to Find Elder Guardians

The Elder Guardians only spawn in threes inside Ocean Monuments. One will be in the top room, and the other two will be on each wing of the Monument.

• The Elder Guardian has three forms of attacks: Laser, Mini Fatigue, and Spikes
• Elder Guardians are known to attack axolotls
• Elder Guardian attacks squids and players

All Elder Guardian Loot

Below you'll find all the loot an Elder Guardian drops when it dies.

• 0-2 Prismarine Shards
• 1 Wet Sponge
• 10 XP Orbs when killed by a player or tamed wolf

You'll also get one of the following

• Raw Cod (50% chance of dropping)
• 1/3 of getting Prismarine Crystals
• Random Fish (2.5% chance of dropping)
