Background
Senator Elizabeth Warren is a well-known politician and leading progressive voice that has fought for structural change that would uplift the U.S. economy. In 1978, the senator began investigating why most Americans end up in Bankruptcy courts, and he found out that most of the individuals are from middle-class families. She is the last born of the four children and the only daughter of Donald and Pauline Herring. Warren was a brilliant student who, at only 16, won a state championship and was admitted to George Washington University on a full debate scholarship.

In June 2012, she cinched the seat defeating the incumbent Senator Scott Brown, becoming the first woman senator for Massachusetts. Senator Warren has also been a voice of opposition and critique of former U.S. President Donald Trump. She was against the plan of Donald Trump’s executive order to ban immigrants from countries such as Somalia, Iraq, and Libya. She has also been an open critique of government appointees.
Just like any other politician, Warren has a loving and caring family. In 1968, Warren married her high school sweetheart, James Robert, a NASA mathematician.
