We chose Ember Phoenix because she’s our rainbow baby and it’s more unique but not too weird lol. We love how it sounds together and the meaning behind it. Ember is our little fiery girl & her personality totally fits the name!

Her father picked out her first to symbolize our bond. Her first middle name (Lyn) is an abbreviation of my mom’s first name Carolyn and her second middle name is after my youngest sister Faith who can no longer conceive.

We found Ember on a baby name list. When I mentioned it to my sister she asked for the name meaning. That’s when I saw it meant “a burning coal”. My son is named Cole and has red hair. Already seemed like it made the perfect choice. Then I gave birth to her in the car on our way to the midwife center (delivered her myself while hubby drove and our son was in the back seat) amd knew for sure she was an Ember. Fiery entrance, red hair, and she is a little spitfire now at 15 months. Totally suits her.
I also love people talking about the connection to being on Fire for the Lord. Something to add to my prayers for her!

My husband and I liked fiery-type names and we also like how strong Ember was. We liked other names that just seemed to be too dainty for our daughter. She came out like a powerhouse- so strong and ready to go- already trying to rollover on the incubator, so we thought the name Ember on our list fit her the best.

Ember was really a name we just ended up agreeing upon and fell in love with it. I like Ember because it’s a different name and it many people have it because it isn’t a common name. I like Ember for my baby because she’s a fire sign Sagittarius and I think it just fits, especially with the personality that she has shown us so far.

I was listening to the Kari Jobe song, Embers, and I immediately knew that’s what I wanted to name my baby girl. I want her to be fierce and ignite the world with her presence. She’ll start as an ember then grow into a flame.

Before we chose Ember, I had a whole list of baby names for boys and girls and I just knew that had to be the names I decided with and ended up not using any part of any of the names I had listed. Ember popped in my head while taking a shower with my boyfriend and we both just fell in love with it. Ember relates to fire and she will be a Sagittarius which is a fire sign and I just think that’s the perfect fit. One thing I do dislike is that when I say her name is Ember, people think I am saying Amber so I hope this isn’t an issue once she is older as well.

I have spent my entire life saying Ember with an E or just outright spelling my name. I get called Amber all the time, even by people who have known me for a while. I just got used to it 🙂 I love my name.
