Designed for home or office, the Ember Mug 2 does more than simply keep your coffee hot. Our smart mug allows you to set an exact drinking temperature, so your coffee is never too hot, or too cold.

Ember then maintains your chosen temperature for up to 1.5 hours with the Ember Mug 2, 10 oz and up to 80 minutes with the Ember Mug 2, 14 oz - so your hot beverage stays perfect. Ember Mug 2 is safe to hand wash and submersible up to 1 meter in water.

How does the Ember Mug 2 work?

The difference between the Ember Mug 2 and a normal mug is that, anything can keep something “Hot”, but only the Ember Mug 2 can keep your favorite hot beverage at your perfect drinking temperature. Whether you call it an electric mug or battery heated coffee mug, your Ember Mug 2 allows you to control your ideal temperature from our app.

How do I use the Ember Mug 2?

Simply pour in your favorite hot beverage and let the Ember Mug 2 do the rest! The LED light will indicate when your Ember is trying to reach the perfect temperature and when it’s ready for you to enjoy. You can also connect the Ember to your smartphone via Bluetooth, by downloading the Ember app. The Ember app will allow you to adjust your preferred temperature, add preset temperatures, and notify you when your beverage has hit your perfect drinking temperature.

Can I put the Ember Mug 2 in the microwave?

Do not microwave the Ember Mug 2! The Ember Mug 2 is an electronic device, which should never go in a microwave. As with all electronics and metals, it may result in a fire when heated up in the microwave. Doing so will result in permanent damage to your Ember Mug 2.

Do I have to have a smart phone for the Ember Mug 2 to work?

No! Every Ember Mug 2 is preset to 135°F for you to enjoy right out of the box. Using the mug independently will limit you from customizing specific feature from the Ember mobile app such as adding a custom LED color or setting a specific preferred temperature between 120°F - 145°F.

How long does the Ember Mug 2 battery last?

The Ember Mug 2, 10 oz was designed to last for up to 1.5 hours and up to 80 min for the Ember Mug 2, 14 oz when poured in hot at a set temperature of 135°F. The battery life of your hot mug depends on a number of factors including but not limited to: external temperature, liquid temperature at pour, speed of liquid consumption, and your set temperature.

Is Ember compatible with my phone? (Android or Apple)

Due to iOS and Android bluetooth updates, not all phones may be compatible with the Ember App. We're continually adding more devices and improving our compatibility. See our full list of compatible devices*.

Is the Ember Mug easy to clean?

Yes, the Ember Mug is safe to handwash. Do not put Ember Mug in the dishwasher.  For best results, us a bottle brush to clean inside of mug and be sure to dry it well. Always check that the gold rings at the base of the mug and pins on charging coaster are dry before charging. Charging coaster should not be immersed in water or other liquid.
