Enchanted 2 Release Date Revealed By Disney - Digital Spy

Enchanted 2, AKA Disenchanted, finally has a release date after years of waiting for the sequel to happen.

As part of Disney+ Day on November 12, it's been confirmed that the sequel will be released on Disney+ in Autumn 2022. But if that's too long for you to wait, you can now rewatch the original 2007 movie on the streaming service right now.

Stars Amy Adams and Patrick Dempsey, who both return in the sequel as Giselle and Robert Philip, made the exciting announcement in a new video, which you can watch below.

The long-awaited sequel was filmed earlier this summer and it's set to bring back all of your favourites from the first movie, including James Marsden as Prince Edward and Idina Menzel as Nancy Tremaine.

Disenchanted takes place a decade after the original movie with Giselle questioning her happily-ever-after life, accidentally setting in motion events that turn everybody's lives upside-down in the real world and in the cartoon land of Andalasia.

Adams has teased that the sequel features more dancing and singing for the cast, which turned out to be a bit of a challenge. "The last time I really danced as much as I'm required to dance in this, I was in my 20s and now I'm not in my 20s," she explained on The Tonight Show.

"It feels different in your 40s. In my heart, I look like I'm in my 20s when I'm dancing, and then I would watch playback and be like, 'Whoa, that's not the same,'" she joked.

And Disenchanted has even righted a wrong of the first movie as Menzel will get to sing this time around too. "I was happy to be hired as just an actress, but now I'm really excited because these songs are incredible," she enthused to People.

"There's so much music, and Amy singing her butt off, and it's just Patrick singing and tap dancing. It's really glorious and joyful and people are going to love it."

Disney has also confirmed that the new live-action Pinocchio movie will be coming to Disney+ in Autumn 2022, while the Cheaper By the Dozen remake will arrive in March 2022 on the streaming service. So lots to look forward to!
