Below, you'll find suggestions for gear worth equipping before you go through the final loop. However, you can take numerous different approaches with each Visionary, so equip the Slabs, weapons, and Trinkets that best suit your playstyle.
| Recommended Gear | Where to Get It |
|---|---|
| Spring Heeled Trinket | Found in the tunnels during The Longest Day |
| Shift Slab | Charlie Montague in Updaam during Space Invader |
| Nexus Slab | Harriet Morse in Karl's Bay during Chaos Theory |
You can jump to the following sections below, or scroll down for the start of this Deathloop Walkthrough. The first section starts off in the morning and progresses throughout the day.

Kill Harriet/Sabotage Frank's Fireworks
Video Walkthrough - The Perfect Loop
Both Harriet and Frank's fireworks can be dealt with in the morning in Karl's Bay. As you make your way over to hangar 2 for Harriet, though, you can quickly reach Frank's fireworks and check those off your list first.
In the first hangar, before you head up the stairs, there's a hole in the wall on the left. Crouch and head through here, which will lead you right to Otto's Workshop. Punch in the code to head in and sabotage Frank's fireworks.
Once you've done that, head back through the hole and up the stairs in the hangar. Make your way over to Harriet in hangar 2 and kill her however you see fit.
One such way is to Shift through the lasermines in her office, head through the back door, and down the stairs. Then, use Nexus on the two Eternalists behind her and shoot them with a silenced weapon, then sneak up on her and take her down with your machete. Another way is to explode the gas below and shift over to the plane, then lop a grenade or two into the window as Harriet comes running to investigate the noise. Loot her remains before you go, then make your way back to the exit.
There's also an extreme sneaky way to shoot Harriet from the rooftops, through an open crack in a skylight. You basically have to startle her to get her into the exact position, and then a single shot does it. This is tricky, though -- you can see the maneuver done in the speed run video below:
Ruin Egor's Experiment
Next stop: The Complex at noon. Take the tunnel exit on the right and make your way over to the waypoint. When you reach the road, follow up the right side towards the bunker. Hack the turret in the middle and it'll handle some of the Eternalists here. Then, head inside the bunker.
You'll hear a massive boom inside, but ignore it for now. An Eternalist will be right inside on the right, so take them out quietly then keep moving forward. Plenty more Eternalists are roaming around in here, so keep an eye out as you make your way to the next door.
On the other side, you'll be right near Egor's lab and the control panel. There are two Eternalists down by it, and one on each side of it up on the hills. Again, take them out quietly, then grab a Field Nullifier from his lab.
However, remember how his lab is locked up around noon? So, use Shift to move up to the roof, then Shift again to get past the lasers in the open hatch. The switch to unlock the door is through the lower level via the open hatch in the corner. Once you've done that, grab a Field Nullifier and bring it out to the device.
Once it's revealed, put in the code and hit the big red 'STOP' button to shut down the device. Now, head back to the exit.
Kill the Love Birds
When the afternoon rolls around, head back to Fristad Rock. Once you're out of the tunnels, head right and climb up the cliffside. Then, start making your way over to Charlie and Fia's bunker.
Once inside, head over to Charlie's machine and put in the code, unlocking the elevator door up ahead. Then, use Shift to make your way down to the very bottom and head to the containment door that's open slightly on the bottom.
From here, hop up on the platform on your right. Climb the bars ahead and make your way up to the level that they’re on. You can either take them out guns blazing (you can get an achievement by killing them both in one shot, which is possible while they're talking and close to each other), or you can take the stealthy approach and flood the place. To do that, keep crouched, though, so they don’t see you. This area is also filled with lasermines, so use Shift to move past them and towards the stairs on the left.
Continue moving up and follow the blue paint on the floor all the way around to the far control room. Then, pull the lever to start flooding the place.
Move quickly out of the window ahead of you and into the next control room over to the left. Use your Hackamajig to unlock the door here and head out. Then, escape up and out of the elevator shaft using Shift before the entire place floods.
Now, head back to the exit.
Crash a Party - Kill Everyone
Time to knock out three Visionaries at one get-together. Similar to the first time you visited Aleksis's, enter in from the right side. You’ll hear some party guests trying to get in this main entrance, along with a turret moving right next to them. Stay hidden behind the big signs near the cliffs and hack the turret. It’ll take care of all of the Eternalists by this door so you can move through. There is also a back route that lets you infiltrate the party from above. Scroll down below for more on that approach.
Another way to get inside is through a hole in the wall on the right side of this building. From where you hack the turret, move forward towards the cliffs and you'll see it on the left.Once you’re officially inside, take a right and stick by the wall near the parked cars. There are two Eternalists down here, but plenty more on the roof and in the party that will flock your way if you make a wrong move. So, it’s best to go in quietly.
There’ll be some weird white sculptures ahead of you with flat pieces coming out. Use Shift to jump on top of the one closest to you, then the one across from you, and over to the roof. From here, use Shift to get on top of the next roof over.
Thankfully, Egor and Wenjie are hanging out together on the rooftop. So, this is the perfect time to use Nexus with them and the other Eternalists dancing up here.
Keep crouched down, and use Nexus to connect them with an Eternalist (or as many as you can get). Then, shoot the Eternalist. This will take Egor and Wenjie down with them.
Another Way into the Party: An alternate way to the rooftops leads into the building on the left side, near the cliffs. From the scattered booths and debris, you can either shift your way up (if you've got the ability to shift twice equipped) the side of the building, or you can hop down the rocky edge and make your way up on a ledge beneath some scaffolding. There's a window to get into the party here. You can go to the beer taps to turn them off and get Aleksis to reveal himself, or you can continue to another window and back to the ledge, then walk up the stairs all the way to the rooftops. You could bring a turret and ambush those below, snipe opponents, or use the above strategies to take out Egor and Wenjie.Handle any remaining Eternalists up here with a silenced weapon, then head back to the roof you first came up on and enter Aleksis's room via the open window.
Once inside, head to the middle window of the main room. Open it, and use Shift to hop out onto the hanging ceiling fixture. Make your way over to the right behind the sign and drop down. Once he takes the stage, hit the red button to drop him in the meat grinder. Then, head back up and out with Shift through his window.
If you spot him early, you can also use Nexus on him by linking him with an Eternalist nearby. Then, shoot the Eternalist with a silenced weapon, which will take him down, too.Launch the Rocket
Once you're back on the roof, hop back down and out via the white sculptures. Along with the main entrance, you can also sneak out of the hole on the left of the building ahead of you.
Once you're back on the path on the left, head back towards the RAK. If you didn't before, make sure to hack the turrets down this alleyway and the sensor and turret beyond the door.
On your way to the RAK, you'll come across three Eternalists by the staircase. Take them out however you choose, then head down.
After saying the passkey to open the main door, use the three other passkeys you learned to unlock the next door. Then, head for the RAK and go confront Julianna.
End Julianna
Once the RAK crash lands and you're back on your feet, walk forward and drop down, following the path to Julianna.
Keep moving forward until you see her. Colt will see his doubts, hopes, and fears via notes appearing in the air. Is he doing the right thing? Or is he mistaken and is only making things worse?
Once Colt opens the next door, Julianna contacts him via a nearby intercom. She tells him that she's unarmed and she has a "real treat" for Colt. After the final door, Colt arrives on a radiantly lit walkway, seemingly suspended over nothing. As he steps through, his powers are stripped from him for good. His daughter tells him it's perfectly normal.
Julianna, with her hands raised, welcomes Colt back. She points to a case with vintage dueling pistols. She tries to convince him that Blackreef is like these museum pieces: worth preserving. She also threatens Colt that he's making a mistake and that he would wake up with a gun barrel in his mouth -- and that he should just sit down and listen to her fill him in about the mysteries of the place, and the other Colts.
She tells him to take the pistol and awaits his decision on a count to three -- if he doesn't pull the trigger, she says, amazing worlds and times await.
Deathloop Ending Choices
Deathloop has three different endings. They're all short and ultimately don't provide full closure, so it's up to you which ending you consider good or bad. Additionally, there's a secret ending, which avoids making a final decision and provides no story closure.
Killing Julianna and Colt - Bad Ending
If Colt shoots his daughter, the job is complete. Colt is angry at himself and Julianna lies dead. The only thing left to do is to end the final visionary: Colt. Jump into the abyss.
Colt wakes up on the beach, as always -- but Julianna is standing over him. She points her gun at him, sighs, and walks away, apparently using her Aether power to disappear.
Colt stands up and says: "It... worked? Okay. Here goes." The sky looks different. The world has changed. Credits roll. It's up to your interpretation if this is truly the "bad" ending.

Sparing Julianna - Good Ending
If you decide not to kill Julianna, simply don't pull the trigger. After a moment, Julianna and Colt will start to talk again. This will lead to the loop resetting and Colt waking up on the same shore of Blackreef as every time. But this time, Julianna is waiting for him nearby.
Colt and Julianna talk to each other as father and daughter -- no death threats, no taunts. The cycle continues, eternally, but Colt and his daughter will experience it together rather than as hunted and hunters. The two make their plans for their first, united, day: Colt wants to have a drink after spoiling Aleksis' party, which he intends to do by pushing him into the meat grinder (this is a hint at a secret Trophy).
It's up to your interpretation if this is truly the "good" ending.
Killing Only Julianna - Secret Ending
The third "ending" is unlocked by shooting Julianna after the count to three, but then not jumping into the void. Simply walk to the chair Julianna offered you and interact with it as soon as the button prompt appears. You'll have to wait for it a bit, as it doesn't immediately appear. Colt will sit down -- but you won't get any closure. The loop will reset normally, as if it was the end of the final day. Colt's day will begin anew, and you'll have to make the same choices again and ultimately get to this same point all over.
After the credits roll, players can choose to go back and play more of Deathloop, such as finding all secrets and weapons, or complete Charlie's Games, or they can create a new file and start the loops all over.
