Epic Pass Explained

Epic Passes are now on sale, covering both the Northern Hemisphere 2026/27 winter and Australia’s 2027 ski season on the same pass. The release also introduces revised age categories, including a new Young Adult tier for ages (18–30) and a Teen tier (13-17) on some passes , with access to more than 80 ski resorts worldwide.

If you know which Epic Pass you want, the next step is simple.

What it covers, who it suits, and how experienced skiers plan trips around it

If you’ve been skiing for a while, you’ve probably heard plenty about the Epic Pass. What’s less clear is whether it makes sense for your trip, when to buy it, and how it fits into the bigger picture of planning a ski holiday.

After more than 30 years helping skiers plan trips to Epic resorts such as Whistler Blackcomb, Vail and Beaver Creek, we’ve seen the same mistakes repeated year after year. This guide is designed to help you avoid them.

What Is the Epic Pass?

The Epic Pass is a pre-purchase, multi-resort lift pass that can be used across dozens of ski resorts worldwide. Think of it like a season-style pass that works across multiple destinations, with your level of access determined by which Epic pass you choose.

Epic Passes are sold in limited quantities each season, typically from March through to early December. Once sales close for the season, passes are no longer available until the following year.

Epic Pass holders also receive Epic Mountain Rewards, providing discounts and benefits at 80+ resorts across the USA, Canada, Japan, Europe and Australia.

What Resorts Can I Use The EPIC Pass At?

The Epic Pass provides access to a large global network of resorts. A full list is included further down this page.

Epic Pass (Full Epic Pass)

The Full Epic Pass is the most flexible Epic Pass option and works much like an unrestricted season pass across the Epic network. There are no blackout dates at the core Epic resorts, making it ideal for skiers travelling during peak holiday periods or planning longer trips.
