How to Evolve Porygon Into Porygon2 Pokemon Go

Porygon requires the up-grade item and 50 Porygon Candy to evolve. You can build up your candy in the normal manner, by catching as many Porygon as possible. In normal circumstances, this may prove troublesome as it is quite rare. However, you just need to find the right in-game event. At the time of writing, there is a timed research task that can help you grab more. Once you have these you can head to the in-game menu and evolve your Porygon in the same way as usual.

How to Get Upgrade Item Pokemon GO

The upgrade item takes a little more work. This evolutionary item can only be acquired through random drops that will occur at Pokestops. This is similar to other items like the Dragon Scale and Sun Stone. Luckily, if you get your Pokestop daily bonus streak up to a seven-day run, a special evolutionary item will drop. While it is random, there are only five in the game giving you a one in five chance of claiming it.

Once you have a Porygon 2 the next natural step is to evolve it into a Porygon Z. This requires the use of Sinnoh Stones, which are much harder to get hold of. You will need to complete special research tasks or defeat the Team Go Rocket Leader.
