Former Raw Women's Champion Becky Lynch will not be performing at Clash at the Castle 2022. She was advertised for the event but has been ruled out. The Raw Women's Championship will not be defended at the event.

After 30 years, WWE will be staging a premium live event in the UK and Cardiff's Principality Stadium will be hosting Clash at the Castle on Saturday (September 3). The event is stacked with many marquee matches and top superstars will be part of the event.

But the WWE Universe will not be able to watch Becky Lynch in action. The former Raw Women's Champion was advertised for the event but was ruled out just a month before.

Becky suffered a shoulder injury during her match against Bianca Belair at SummerSlam and has been out of action since then. She could be out of action for a long time and might return before Wrestlemania 39.

After her match with Belair, Becky also turned face for the first time since her return. The Man made her return at SummerSlam 2021 as a heel and won the Smackdown Women's Championship in less than 30 seconds.

She lost the Raw Women's Championship to Belair at Wrestlemania 38 and continued her storyline with her after the defeat. Had Becky been fit, it would have been interesting to see who she would have faced at the event.

In her absence, there is no challenger for Belair and the Raw Women's Championship will not be defended at the event. It's for the 2nd time during Belair's reign that the title won't be on the line at a premium live event.

Belair will team up with Alexa Bliss and Asuka against Bayley, Dakota Kai and IYO Sky. The team of Kai and Sky fell short in the final of the tag team championship on Raw this week.

Clash at the Castle 2022 will be headlined by Roman Reigns and Drew McIntyre. The Scottish superstar will challenge Reigns for the Undisputed Universal Championship in the main event. Intercontinental Champion Gunther will defend his title against Sheamus.
