Fantasy 5 - California

Pick up a Fantasy 5 playslip and pick five numbers from 1 to 39. Alternatively, you can choose Quick Pick to play with randomly generated numbers.

You can play up to five times per payslip. You also have the option to play your lucky numbers in up to 12 consecutive draws using one playslip - simply mark the Advance Play box.

Each play costs $1. Your ticket is your receipt, so make sure you check that your numbers are accurate and sign the back of the ticket.

What is Fantasy 5 - Second Chance?

If you play $5 or more on one ticket, you'll get a Fantasy 5 – 2nd Chance code printed on your ticket, giving you an extra chance to win thousands of dollars each week.

Submit your 2nd Chance codes for a chance to win in a drawing for three $10,000 prizes and twelve $1,000 prizes each week! Each code is valid for one draw. The code is valid for 180 days from the date of purchase.

The entry deadline is Saturday at 11:59 PM PT. Drawings are held within five business days of the deadline.

You must be 18 or older to play Fantasy 5 - 2nd Chance. The odds of winning a prize depend on the total number of codes entered and the total number of entries each player submits. Players are eligible for a chance to win one prize per drawing.

Are prizes taxed? All prizes over $599 are subject to federal taxes, but there are no state or local taxes on winnings.

What happens to the money spent on Fantasy 5 tickets? The California State Lottery says that for every dollar spent by players, 95 cents is returned to the community via player prizes, investment in education, and retailer compensation.

How long do I have to claim a prize? You have 180 days from the draw date to claim your winnings. Free tickets must also be claimed within 180 days of the draw.

What happens if a prize is not claimed in time? If a jackpot is not claimed within 180 days from the draw date, the unclaimed winnings are distributed to CA public schools.
