Our cards, your questions

We know what it’s like. You’re ordering your Plastic Card and have a whole load of questions. Fear not, here are some of the answers to the most common questions we get asked.

What are your cards made from?

All of our cards are made from full PVC plastic – not encapsulated cardboard. All our cards also come with rounded corners as standard.

What does ‘micron‘ mean?

The micron of a plastic card is the thickness of the PVC used. A typical bank card is 760micron – which is the industry standard for plastic cards. We can off varying thickness of card right up to 1,500 micron and the intended use.

How long will it take to print my order?

We always advise our customers a 10–14 working day turn around* under our standard service. We also have our 3-5 working day express for when you need it a little bit quicker, or even our “super fast” 48hr express. These are guides and we do endeavour to dispatch all orders as quickly as possible. (*Turn around defined as the number of days from proof approval/payment received to point of dispatch).

Can I see an actual plastic card sample with my design?

We can offer Hard Copy proofs (also referred to as a wet proof) if required. Please contact us for further details where a team member will be happy to help.

What is the standard thickness of a credit/debit card?

Most credit/debit cards are 0.76mm (760micron), same as our standard cards.

My artwork file is too big to email – how can I send it to you?

We can accept large files via our FTP (please contact us for details), CD / USB in the post or a 3rd party FREE service called mailbigfile.com.

What payment methods do you accept?

We currently accept payments online via our processing partner Worldpay, BACS and cheque. For payment via BACS or cheque please note we cannot go to print with your order until we have received cleared funds into our account.

Do you work with trade customers?

Yes we do. Call us today on 01904 314 744 to discuss your requirements and see if you qualify for a trade account.

How long does it take for a courier to deliver my order?

Once your order has been dispatched it is normally delivered the next working day and will require a signature.
