Far Harbor is a large piece of Fallout 4 story DLC released on May 19, 2016, and this page contains IGN's growing guide and walkthrough. Far Harbor includes the largest single land mass ever created for a Bethesda DLC expansion, taking place on a huge, mysterious, fog-shrouded island off the New England coast.

Far Harbor involves the player taking a case with the Valentine Detective Agency to unravel strange-goings-on.

Far Harbor is the third DLC available for Fallout 4.

In addition, this DLC features many new quests, characters, armor, weapons, items, and settlements. The DLC also features three individual factions that can be assisted or fought against, each with their own benefits and risks.

How to Access Far Harbor DLC

To start  the first Far Harbor quest, the player must have completed the main story questline up to Getting a Clue, when Nick Valentine invites you to be his detective partner. You can either get a signal from Nick's secretary about a new case, or go directly to the northeastern corner of the map. There is a new area available above the map along the coast called "Nakano Residence" where you can trigger the first quest of the DLC.
