Feeling baby movement above belly button, when does it happen?member avatardaniele40 Last edited 09-12-13Hi , i am feeling baby movement A LOT  ...Everyday and many times in a day!!!  ...And i love the little movemts. They are still little pops and flutters No hard kicks or punches yet. They can go unnoticed too if im not sitting down or lying down and of course there are quiet times too..the baby might be sleeping and not moving at these times. I have a Q:  When do you start feeling baby movement higher up in your baby bump? ...Im 20 wks along and i still feel baby movment below my belly button.  Normal for 20 weeks? Please let me know what you think. Thanks! Original poster's comments (1)go to original poster's comments pageno reactions0comment Advertisement | page continues below

  • member avatarRoseMomma Posted 09-12-13Totally normal. At 20 weeks, your uterus is jsut reaching your belly button, so it makes sense not to fell anything above there yet. I am 23 weeks and have just started feeling kicks and punches at/just above my belly button.
  • kKristen_C Posted 09-12-13I'm 23 weeks today and have been having kicks above the belly button since about 21 1/2 weeks See all replies (1)
  • member avatarKirstynScherer Posted 09-12-13I've just started having kicks above the belly button for the past week or so and I'm 24 weeks nowAdvertisement | page continues below
  • llilbratxo Posted 09-12-13Yep, at 20 weeks your uterus is only at your belly button. Then goes up each week. I'm 24 weeks and most movement is about belly button level.
  • member avatarBillie171 Posted 09-12-13Don't get too excited!!  My sister said that during her last pregnancy, she was sure her little one was going to break one of her ribs!!  Hee hee.  She said that the kicks were always on the exact same spot of her rib.  Yikes!!
  • member avatarBreeJade Posted 09-12-13I'm six months and sill not above my belly button. But I'm carrying very low. She won't stop moving ever I don't Sleep.because if it sometimes it's non stop foot.steps or hand on my belly
  • member avatarnerdalie Posted 09-13-13I think my baby is definitely sitting low, I'm almost 23 weeks and have been feeling kicks several times a day but they are all well under my belly button
  • member avatarKate5905 Posted 09-13-13I'm 21.5 weeks, and glad someone said it above- I have felt once or twice a kick or two at least level with my bellybutton. Most are still quite low, it's true...but I've also grown ridiculously in the past week and a half, so it's possible I'm just in the middle of my own big growth spurt so she has more room to move around!
