    I looked through the Roman Martyrology for feast days surrounding my baby’s due date. Felix was there but my husband and I both said, nah probably not.

    Later during the pregnancy I was doing dishes and praying. The name Felix just popped back into my head. I checked the calendar again and the day my baby was due had been changed, and there was Felix. My husband liked the name a lot this go around and we decided.

    His middle name is Peter and that is because he was born a month early and on the Feast of St Peter & Paul. Felix Peter fits him so well!

    My mother in law suggested it after meeting him, I knew it was on my names list that I was keeping, when I went to look, I actually realized I had put it down twice… so it all just felt meant to be. Even though we had originally had another name, after a week with the little guy, we realized that he was in fact a Felix and that it suited him more than our other options.

    We chose Felix because it means “Happy and fortunate.” We had actually been planning on a different name, but when he was born it just fit. This is our little miracle baby for so many reasons, so the meaning is so fitting. 🙂

    felix may be a cute name, BUT when the kid is in school he will be bullied. so parents think before you commit a selfish act.

    I love the name Felix, before having this name , I was in primary six, when I had only one name TURINUMUKIZA, To choose this name , I was referred to some powerful famous men who have some responsibility in their duties, I found a great Mathematician professor, because of the great atulitude I like mathematics, I like also this name Felix because of this professor. I found many country with their leader whose name is Felix . I found football coaches whose name is Felix More Religious preacher. Soldiers. And when I looking for its meaning, I liked it, and I went in secondary one with the ambition of adding this name to my name to make it full. I like it.

    We love the name Fox for a boy but our last name is Hunt so…. Fox Hunt doesn’t really work. Fox is a cute nickname for Felix. It also means happy and he sure is a happy guy!

    Felix has been our top boy name pick for a while now. We had the idea of choosing names based on something related to classical music (my husband and I both play violin) while picking baby names during my first pregnancy. Our first baby was a girl so she got the middle name Claire for Debussy’s beautiful piano piece, “Clair de Lune” And our second child was a boy so for him we chose the name Felix (commonly used first name for the composer the composer Mendelssohn) Sebastian (Bach’s middle name).

      My grandson is named Felix Sebastian! His parents like the name because it means happy, and boy is he ever! Felix Sebastian is a proud, strong name and we all love it. Also, responding to Jerry. My grandson is in 4th grade and no one has ever bullied him regarding his name. In fact, he is so popular, his nickname is Mr. Mayor!     We went through thousands of names, and none seemed to fit. At every ultrasound, our little guy moved SO MUCH, and the technician started calling him a little acrobat. I looked up famous gymnasts, and when I read about the famous Ukrainian Israeli gymnast named Felix, I knew that was the perfect name for our little mover and groover! I also love that in Latin, Felix means happiness and good luck. 🙂
