- 1 pound spaghetti
- 1 pound ground pork
- 16 ounces Italian tomato sauce
- 5 ounces tomato paste
- 1/2 small onion, minced
- 2–3 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 cups thinly sliced beef hot dogs
- 1/3 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/3 cup evaporated milk
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- Salt, to taste
- Pepper, to taste
- Vegetable oil
Steps
- In a pan, heat a little vegetable oil and add onion and garlic. Sauté for a few minutes, and then add the pork. Cook and stir until the meat has browned. Add tomato sauce, tomato paste, water, and sugar. Simmer for a few minutes, and then add the sliced hot dogs. Season with salt and pepper, add the evaporated milk, and continue simmering until the sauce is thickened.
- Cook spaghetti according to package directions, drain, and serve with the sauce on top, and a sprinkling of cheese.
