Ingredients

  • 1 pound spaghetti
  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 16 ounces Italian tomato sauce
  • 5 ounces tomato paste
  • 1/2 small onion, minced
  • 2–3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 8 ounces beef hot dogs, thinly sliced
  • 1/3 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/3 cup evaporated milk
  • 1/4 cup of granulated sugar
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • Vegetable oil

Steps

  1. In a pan, heat a little vegetable oil and add onion and garlic. Sauté for a few minutes, and then add the pork. Cook and stir until the meat has browned. Add tomato sauce, tomato paste, water, and sugar. Simmer for a few minutes, and then add the sliced hot dogs. Season with salt and pepper, add the evaporated milk, and continue simmering until the sauce is thickened.
  2. Cook spaghetti according to package directions, drain, and serve with the sauce on top, and a sprinkling of cheese.
