What is finasteride?

Finasteride 1mg is a prescription hair loss drug that comes as a pill. The FDA has approved finasteride 1mg to treat men with male pattern hair loss. The technical term for what finasteride treats is androgenetic alopecia. Finasteride is more effective than treatments you can buy without a prescription.

How to take finasteride 1mg

Take a single finasteride 1mg tablet by mouth every day. You can take finasteride with or without food. You need to take finasteride for several months for it to work. Does finasteride work?

Finasteride 1mg side effects

Finasteride 1mg is generally safe but it can cause serious side effects. 1.5% of patients may experience problems in sexual function including but not limited to erectile dysfunction, decreased libido, ejaculatory disorders and reduced sperm count. Your risk increases as you get order. Most patients find that any problems with sexual function go away when they stop taking finasteride. A minority of people experience problems with sexual function for an average of 40 months after they stop taking the pills.

Women of childbearing age shouldn't take finasteride or touch broken pills because finasteride can cause birth defects.
