Wizard City – Prospector Zeke Quest

You may want to review our Zeke Quest overview for some helpful tips and you’ll find a list of current Zeke Quests we’re working on. Remember there are items in each world to find.

Look for Zeke in the main base camp. When you enter Krokotopia through the World Gate, go up the ramp and enter the Oasis Base Camp. Before you will be the Pyramid of the Sun. Go to the right and you’ll see a wooden bridge on your left. Cross the bridge and you’ll find Zeke on one of the floating islands. Here he will give you the quest to Find The Beetles.

Finding The Beetles

Like Wizard City, you must complete certain tasks in some areas in order to be given a quest to enter another area. So don’t think you can get the quest from Zeke and then set off to find the lost beetles.

Below are the locations of the beetles and a map for the area they’re in. Look for the X on the map.

1. Oasis – 1 When you get the quest, go to Zeke’s left toward the Library. On the right side of the building, by a palm tree will be the first Oasis Beetle. 

2. Oasis – 2 To reach the second Oasis go to the other side of the Pyramid of the Sun where the shops are. Find the Robe shop. Turn left in front of it and go around the building to the back. You’ll find the second Oasis Beetle there.

3. Sphinx Island To reach the next beetle you’ll have to get the quest to ride the boat to Sphinx Island. Go to the left of the Sphinx. Near his tail you’ll see a small floating island with a small wooden bridge. The Beetle is on the floating island. 

4. Tomb of Storms  To reach this beetle you must first have the quest to go to the Tomb Of Storms. After you exit through the portal, go behind the stone circle and you’ll find the next beetle. 

5. Altar of Kings The King’s Altar is the main hall in the Pyramid of the Sun. Professor Winthorp stands in front of the altar and to his right (which should be your left) is a staircase that leads to the Chamber of Fire. But if you look carefully, you’ll see a staircase going down to the right by the Chamber’s doorway. There are blocks at the bottom of this staircase and the beetle is next to these blocks.

6. Chamber of Fire  Enter the Chamber and head to the Excavation Cave. The Quest to speak with Assistant Danforth will take you there. He will be standing by a series of sand ramps that go up to other levels of the pyramid. Go up the first 3 ramps. At the top of the 3rd ramp you’ll see a small pathway going past the scaffold. Follow the path and go around the corner. The beetle will be sitting next to a stack of crates.

7. Entrance Hall  This hall is in the Krokosphinx.When you enter the hall, you’ll see a staircase to the right. At the top you’ll see the sigil entrance to the Vault of Ice and a stage type platform in front of it. On the right side of the platform is the next Beetle.

8. Emperor’s Retreat  The Emperor’s Retreat is a dungeon, so if you don’t remember to get the beetle when you’re completing the quest for this area, you’ll have to go through part of the dungeon quest again. Talk to Shalek the Wise and he will tell you how to get the lever to open the door. When you enter the frozen lake, you’ll see a building on the far right side of the cavern. In front of the building is a dock and the beetle is on the dock. He’s hard to see in the limited light, but he is there.

9. Well of Spirits  When you enter the Well of Spirits you’ll be on a platform that over looks a green slime pool and a large statue of a kroc sitting on a throne on the far side (this is the entrance to the Temple of Storms). You can’t get to the pathway that goes behind the kroc statue from where you are. You will need to go down to the level where the green slime is. Then take one of the staircases by the wall near the middle of the room. Once you’re on the platform pathway, go behind the kroc statue and you’ll find the beetle.

10. Karanhan Barracks  You’ll find this beetle when you get the quest to talk to Salid K’Fur. Standing behind him is Zam’Fir the Recipe Vendor. Next to him on the right is a hanging bridge that leads to the building on a far island. Cross the two hanging bridges and look in the entrance way to the building. You’ll find the beetle by the front door.
