Finn, once called Storm Trooper FN-2187, is a fictional solider in the Star Wars movies and extended franchise. Taken as an infant, he was raised by the First Order as a Storm Trooper, meant to be a mindless foot solider with an infinite loyalty to the First Order. When Poe is captured by the First Order, Finn helps Poe escape in exchange for his own freedom. Having trained his entire life for war, what Finn wants more than anything is a peaceful life with his friends away from battle, but he eventually rises to the occasion in the fight for the Resistance’s cause.
