First steps

If you are experiencing problems with the TikTok app, try working through these troubleshooting steps. Before following these steps, make sure you are running the latest versions of the TikTok app and your device's operating system. Latest versionMake sure your device is running the latest versions of the TikTok app. We also recommend that your device's operating system is up to date. Restart the app and your device As a first step, we recommend restarting the TikTok app and your device. This can often resolve issues or free up storage resources. Check your internet connection Weak data or Wi-Fi signal can also impact your experience on TikTok. Try switching between Wi-Fi and mobile data to troubleshoot if connectivity is causing the issue.

Clear app storage If internet connectivity isn't a problem, try clearing your app cache. This removes temporary files that may be causing issues.Feature availabilityWe're continuously innovating and developing new features to enhance creativity and user experience on TikTok. We regularly test features with a limited number of users to gather feedback. This means some new features or changes may not be available to you yet. To clear your cache:1. In the TikTok app, tap Profile at the bottom.2. Tap the Menu ☰ button at the top, then select Settings and privacy.3. Tap Free up space. From here:• To delete cache, tap Clear next to Cache, then tap Clear again to confirm.• To delete downloads, tap Clear next to Downloads. (mention what type of downloads these are - see screenshot in previous comment)• To delete drafts, tap Manage next to Drafts. Tap Select, then select the drafts and tap Delete.

If you've followed the above steps and the problem still persists, report the problem so we can assist you further.
