Five easy ways to boost your kid’s IQ
Who doesn’t want their kids to be smart and intelligent? As per studies, people with high IQ are more successful. But it’s a myth that IQ is a 'gift of god'. This is because there are ways you can cultivate the Intelligence Quotient in your kids and yourself too. There is no age to improve your IQ, however, a child’s formative years are considered the best.
Here are five ways you can increase your kid’s IQ.

Teach them to play an instrument
Learning to play any instrument is a great activity for your brain that boosts your IQ levels and directly improves your mathematical and spatial reasoning skills. This has been scientifically proven by MRI scans that playing instruments boosts brain functioning. You can choose from instruments like guitar, keyboard, drum, table, sitar or any other instrument.

Make them learn a sport
Physical activity is as important as healthy food for a child’s overall development. Playing any sport increases brain activity as it leads to the release of endorphins. Encourage your kid to play a sport or you can even play with them to develop their interest.

Make them do mathematical calculations
Mathematical calculations can improve brain functioning and can improve your kid’s IQ to a great extent. You can engage them for 10 minutes every day by asking them some random calculations like 2+2 =, 12 – 2 = and more. You can make them learn abacus too.

Deep breathing
Deep breathing is one of the greatest brain hacks. It helps in clearing thoughts and thus helps in reducing stress and increase the concentration power. According to a recent study conducted in the Harvard Medical School, a brain scan proved thickening of all four quarters of the brain after eight weeks of continuous practice of deep breathing. You can take out 10-15 minutes in the morning or at night and practice deep breathing with your kid.

Make them play brain games
No matter how much we stop our kids from playing games on our mobile, they still do that. What you can do is download games that improve the brain function and IQ of the kids. There are many brain games available online to choose from.
