When using your Powerbeats Pro, the left earpiece may shut down unexpectedly despite being charged. It usually gets to 55-57 percent and then dies. If you put it back into the case and then back in your ear, it will reconnect with around 50 percent battery left. But after a few minutes, it suddenly dies with zero percent battery. Shortly after, the other earpiece turns off as well.
Interestingly enough, all the users who have experienced this problem reported the same behavior or shutdown pattern. First, the left earpiece dies, followed by the right one a few minutes later. Let’s see what you can do to solve this problem.

What to Do if Your Powerbeats Pro Keep Turning Off
Reset Your Earbuds

Release the button and pair your earbuds with your device.
Unpair Your Earbuds
Disconnect your earbuds.
Navigate to iPhone Settings.
Select Bluetooth.
Then, tap the Info button next to your Powerbeats Pro.
Select Forget This Device.
Put your earbuds into the case and restart your iPhone.
Pair your earbuds with your device and check if they still shut down unexpectedly.
Get the Latest iOS Updates
Be sure to update your iPhone to the latest version. Go to Settings, select General, and tap Software Update. If your iOS device is up to date, then you will also have the latest firmware for your Powerbeats Pro earbuds. Check if you notice any improvements after updating your iPhone.
Clean Your Earbuds and Case
Take a cotton swab and clean your earbuds and case. Make sure nothing’s interfering with your earbuds while charging. Clean the metal charging pins of the case. Additionally, ensure your earbuds are sitting properly in the charging case. Sometimes, a buildup of earwax, dust, or dirt can make it so your earbuds don’t sit right.
Could This Be a Manufacturing Defect?
Powerbeats Pro users have been complaining about this problem for more than a year now. This is a widely reported issue. Many users are convinced this problem is caused by a manufacturing defect. As a matter of fact, some users already sued Apple over Powerbeats Pro’s presumably faulty batteries and charging system.
Allegedly, the earbuds fail to charge properly due to a badly-designed charging case. The earpieces may sometimes get dislodged from their seating. As a result, the case fails to charge them properly.
If you suspect the issue you’re experiencing is due to unexpected charging issues, leave the case open while charging your Powerbeats Pro. Check if you notice any improvements.
Conclusion
To fix the issue where your Powerbeats Pro shut down unexpectedly, reset your earbuds. On your iPhone, go to Bluetooth Settings, and select Forget this device. Additionally, update your iPhone to the latest iOS version. If the issue persists, clean the metal charging parts to ensure nothing’s interfering with your earbuds while charging. Leave the case open while charging your earbuds.
