Albert Spencer Aretz[1] (born: June 11, 1997 (1997-06-11) [age 28][2]), better known online as Flamingo (also known as AlbertsStuff or mrflimflam), is an American YouTuber that uploads game play and reaction videos. He is best known for his comedic style, inside jokes, and characters. He often talks about Life, Roblox, and reaction-related content, such as Roblox scams, Roblox news, and other Roblox YouTubers.

Personal life[]

Albert was born in the U.S. state of New Jersey on June 11, 1997. His last name is pronounced "arts".[3] His father's name is Ronald. He has a brother and two sisters[4] one is named Mary.

Albert's family moved to Florida from North Carolina when he was a child. He attended Suncoast Polytechnical High School in Sarasota, Florida, where he had one friend.[5] He worked at a Macy's department store for two days.[6][7] He dropped out of college to become a full-time YouTuber.[8]

Albert is 5'11" (180.34 centimeters) tall. He has brown eyes and wavy brown hair which was previously dyed blond and platinum. Albert has had multiple cats and a dog. He has a brother and two sisters. He has stated in several videos that his mother left him at a young age. He currently lives in Bradenton, Florida. Before he became popular, Albert made many Phantom Forces, Apocalypse Rising, and CS: GO videos.

Pets[]

Albert adopted his sister's cats Leo and Kimmy in July 2018. [9] He has a third cat named Simon, which lives in Albert's family home.[10]

Bedrock Rocky[11] (born January 15, 2019 (2019-01-15) [age 6]) is a mixed breed Siberian Husky-Pomeranian dog. He is named after the Minecraft block of the same name because of his fur color. He has an Instagram account owned by Albert's ex-girlfriend, Kirsten, called "bedrockthepomsky" and up to 2021, she lived with Kirsten.

Peach (born October 13, 2019 (2019-10-13) [age 6]; adopted December 21, 2019) is a mixed breed Siberian Husky-Pomeranian dog. In 2020, she was given to Kirsten's family; Kirsten said that Peach and Bedrock "just weren't a good match".[12] She has an Instagram account, owned by Kirsten, called "thepeachpomskyxoxo".

Jokes[]

• Bloody diarrhea pants: Albert would say this if he saw someone wearing a now-unavailable but wearable pair of avatar pants called "Chainsaw man pants v.1." in Roblox.
• Get Noob: A phrase used by Albert when he emerges victorious from a game or taunts other players.
• Give oil/Oil or boil: Albert held a raid based on the Junk bot outfit on Roblox. These were phrases commonly said during the raid.
• Respect the vets: A reference to the various army and war-related groups on Roblox. The meme started when a person said "i'm a vet" in-game, to which someone else responded "RESPECT THE VETS".
• Screaming: Albert often screams in his videos. Sometimes a little too loud. Some examples are: “TIANNA IS THE BEST GAMER”, “GET NOOB” and "TIFANY MAYUMI"
• Still chill: A reference to the “Chill face” that avatars could wear on Roblox before they put it off-sale. Albert frequently says this when he is doing something stressful or risky in-game, though he has ceased saying it as of 2021.

• Sunscreen eater: A phrase used when referring to a Roblox player that has a pure white skin tone or face.
  • Concrete eater: A Roblox player who has a gray skin tone or face. Typically an Xbox user.
• Ugly scp-tato: A phrase Albert took from another Roblox player by the name of "MoLovesRainbow".
• Yo tengo: A Spanish phrase which translates to "I have". Used as a reference to the large Spanish-speaking population of Roblox.
• Cleetus: Albert's current main Roblox avatar. Cleetus has an overweight body figure and wears a cowboy hat and overalls. Cleetus is said to have a son, Cletus, whom he accidentally killed while hunting pigeons.

• dhyrbfyty: Alberts old Roblox girlfriend from 2008 who is now a transgender female to male.
• Earthworm Sally: A humanoid earthworm that reportedly carries various forms of diseases across the United States, "from Florida to California]".
• Felipe: A Styrofoam head which Albert painted "makeup" on, to "make him the man of [his] dreams". It was often beaten up by Albert. It was "killed" because of these acts; Albert subsequently poorly repaired it using tape and clay. It has since been entirely destroyed. It is featured in the game Survive Albert, and Attack on Albert. It exists as a Roblox hat item. It was also featured in a merchandise advertisement video in August 2020.
• Green Screen Man: A superhero referencing green screens and how they work. He also has a lasagna form.
• Sammy the Strawberry: An anthropomorphic strawberry who promotes healthy eating, often threatening people who don't listen to him.
• Su Tart: A character who originates from a "sad story" game on Roblox. His name is a misspelled version of the name, Stuart. He is portrayed as a young boy who attends a form of American school. He is often bullied, harassed and assaulted by other students in his school. The story ultimately comes to a resolution in which a student stands up for Su Tart, which causes the other students to feel guilt for bullying him. Su Tart's appearance is that of the male default avatar on Roblox.
• Free roux: Lots of Robux scam games included "Free roux" in the game name, because it was a easy way to bypass the filter on Roblox to say "Free Robux", and it was funny when young Roblox players misspelled the word. Albert would make fun of this by saying things like saying it in a loud tone.
• Family_lover33: Commonly known for being the richest 10 year old Adopt Me! Player, she has featured in many of Alberts videos.
• Ro-skating: In his older videos, Flamingo has multiple times mentioned this by wearing the legs of the Oli Zig Zag bundle, and repeatedly pressing the “w” button. This meme has appeared commonly in story videos.
• luisgamercool23: 4 years ago, Albert made this channel as a secret for a video where he posted videos about how he hated noobs. The video was purposely low quality with bad microphone noise.
• hakka701: 3 years ago, Albert was playing "[UPDATED] 🔥 Roblox Rap Battles 🔥" (presumably a deleted game). Albert encountered hakka701 in the first server, then she left to join a different server. Albert had to find another server hakka701 was in. For a few moments, he was playing a round against Hakka. "Hakka, I don't like you," said Albert in an attempt of insulting Hakka. Then, hakka701 replied, "how do you know my name." The video is called "ROBLOX NOOB confesses her love for me... IN FRONT OF EVERYONE".

Collaborations[]

Albert is friends with Jayingee, Kaden Fumblebottom, Temprist, and his video editors. He is also friends with PolarCub, his thumbnail designer. Outside of close friendships, he has collaborated with many YouTubers, such as Tofuu and SynthesizeOG. He is also friends with RussoPlays, Jameskii and now exposed youtuber KonekoKitten.

Albert used to date beauty YouTuber lanatheesty. They stopped dating in November 2018; a month after, Albert began dating YouTube vlogger FoxKirsten, whom he broke up with in March 2021.

In mid-October 2017, Albert had fully migrated to the Flamingo channel as a result of his videos on AlbertsStuff being demonetized due to his common use of profanity. Since Albert's full-time job is YouTube, switching to a different channel was the only sustainable way for him to generate income.

As of today, most of the videos have been set to private. However, four videos still remain.

Controversy[]

Using Slurs[]

In October 2017, he made a video where he said "they got" really fast. However, viewers assumed he said the n-word. He cleared up the situation in a twitter post.[13]

On August 18, 2020, Albert addressed backlash and also apologized for using a transphobic slur in an old video. He apologized on his Twitter for the harmful "joke" made in past videos.[14] Subsequently, he removed all videos from the AlbertsStuff channel containing negative and hateful views. He stated that he isn't transphobic and made about pride month in 2021 and 2022.[15][16]

Albert has three main editors:

• Adam, also known as Speedy and formerly as Carlito. He has been working with Albert since the start of the Flamingo channel.
• Paige, also known as turnthepaige and turnthepge, who occasionally adds her own commentary to Albert's videos. She has also been working with Albert for many years.
• ZNac, another Roblox YouTuber.

• Dani, better known online as PolarCub, Albert's video thumbnail artist.
• Kaden Fumblebottom, the creative director for the Flamingo channel. Kaden gives Albert video ideas.
• Kat, also known as katjdraws, a merchandise designer.
• Sara, also known as searin.hot and searin.hottie, another merchandise designer.
• Scott, Albert's manager. There is not much known about Scott, besides the fact that he runs Albert's business email.
