The Flint item is a Crafting material in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
Strike it with a metallic object to generate a spark. This portable fire starter breaks after one use, but it can create a long-lasting flame if you use it near firewood.
Flint can be mined in the wild off of black rock-looking ores found in caves or by cliffs. If struck alongside firewood it will create a campfire, and striking it near other flammable things can start fires - or worse.
