How To Apply For a Medical Marijuana Card In Florida

Becoming a medical marijuana patient in Florida is a three-step process. First, Veriheal can help you book an appointment with a licensed medical marijuana doctor who will review your ailments and medical conditions. Second, once you are evaluated and approved, your doctor will enter you into the Medical Marijuana Use registry. Finally, you’ll apply for a Registry Identification Card through the state. The state will process your application and mail your card. You can then buy medical marijuana from any Florida dispensary in your area. To receive medical cannabis, be aware of the following: – You’ll need to complete the application for a Medical Marijuana Use Registry Identification Card with the Florida Department of Health Office of Medical Marijuana Use (OMMU). Submit all necessary documentation and a $75 application fee. – Complete the Patient Attestation Form and bring it to your appointment with the doctor. – You must re-certify your cannabis prescription every seven months by seeing your doctor. We do not charge extra for these additional visits for re-certification within the same year. You will need to renew your card annually. – Minors will need recommendations from two physicians to qualify.

Other Florida Med Card Qualifications

Along with having one or more of the qualifying conditions, a patient must be able to prove they are a Florida resident with a valid driver’s license or state identification card. Florida charges $75 for annual registration, which is a separate fee from your approval/recommendation from a licensed doctor.
