The Flower Dance is a festival where the player may ask eligible villagers to dance with them. A letter is received in the mail from Mayor Lewis the day before the festival take place.

It takes place from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM in the Cindersap Forest (entrance is southwest of the Wizard's Tower) on Spring 24. During the event, other buildings around Stardew Valley are closed.

The player may invite any one of the bachelors or bachelorettes to dance with them, if they have a minimum of 4 heart levels of friendship. Other villagers may be socialized with and have unique Flower Festival related dialogue.

If the player is married and chooses to dance with a villager other than their spouse, their spouse will do the same. If no dance partner is chosen or available, the festival can still be continued and the player will sit in the northwest corner to observe the other villagers dancing.

Once the festival ends, the player is transported back to The Farm at 10:00 PM.
