Following people

You can follow people on GitHub to receive notifications about their activity and discover projects in their communities.

About followers

When you follow people, you'll see their public activity on your personal dashboard. If someone you follow stars a public repository, GitHub may recommend the repository to you. For more information, see Quickstart for your personal dashboard.

You can unfollow someone if you do not wish to see their public activity on GitHub.

Following a user

  1. Navigate to the user's profile page.
  2. Under the user's profile picture, click Follow.

Unfollowing a user

  1. Navigate to the user's profile page.
  2. Under the user's profile picture, click Unfollow.

Viewing followed users

  1. Navigate to the user's profile page.

  2. Under the user's profile picture, click following.

Viewing followers
