Mine shows up in the settings. Try Settings>Personal Hotspot>WiFi Password.

You can also change your password through Settings>Cellular>Personal Hotspot where you will find that the current password is visible to you as well.

i changed phone from a 5 to a 6 and forgot to check if it moved the info and now there is a long number and that is not my password

So? Just change it. Tap on the number and the keyboard should come up. Delete it, and set up whatever password you want.

The Personal Hotspot Password is user changeable at any time.

Not that you need to hear it from me since Phil already answered, but just do as he says. Tap on it and change it and change it in the next screen.
