It's come to my attention that googling "What's Vegeta's last name?" would result in this:

This information is false. The History of Trunks does not list Vegeta's last name as "Breigh"... I'm not even really sure where that word came from. I want to make clear to anyone reading this page that this was a result from Google indexing a forum post instead of an article. Forums are discussions where people aren't required to source their statements. This has, over the years, unfortunately led to countless people being misinformed. I'm here to set the record straight:

Vegeta's last name is never revealed.

He likely does not have a last name. In Dragon Ball Super: Broly, he is referred to as "Vegeta the Fourth", meaning "Vegeta" is presumably his full name.

In fact, most characters in the Dragon Ball universe don't have a last name.

In Chapter 425 of the Dragon Ball manga, Videl says it's uncommon for people to have surnames. This is how she finds out "Son Gohan" is related to "Son Goku".

I'll quickly paraphrase a few details from there to clear up some more common misconceptions:

• "Son" is one of the few official family names present in the series.
• "Brief" is not a family name, but is instead Dr. Brief's first name. It's a common misconception that Bulma's full name is "Bulma Brief". She's never referred to as that in any source material. In chapter 68 of the Dragon Ball manga, Bulma is listed as "Bulma" in the policeman's device, no last name present. In the infamous Dragon Ball Super baseball episode (number 70), she's referred to as "Dr. Bulma".
• Another very common misconception is that Videl's full name is "Videl Satan". In the Dragon Ball: Super Exciting Guide, it's revealed that "Mr. Satan" is a stage name and that Videl's father's real name is just "Mark".
