ORIGIN Frank Ocean is a Grammy winning American singer, songwriter and former member of Odd Future. He’s known for such compilations as Nostalgia, Ultra, and channel Orange. Ocean was born Christopher Edwin Breaux on October 28, 1987 in Long Beach, California. He was raised by parents Calvin and Katonya. He has two siblings, Ryan and Ashley. Ocean grew up in New Orleans, Louisiana where he was exposed to the jazz scene. He attended John Ehret High School followed by the University of New Orleans. He later transferred to the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
