May 11, 1988 | Just about everybody was on set this evening, midway through the production of the landmark TV miniseries Lonesome Dove. Filmed on the now well-known Moody Ranch outside Del Rio, Texas, a great many different groups of people came together to produce the Emmy-nominated production, many of whom are listed on the historic call sheet.
From the long, long list of actors (featuring Texas natives Tommy Lee Jones and Sonny Carl Davis, among many others) to the various departments referenced, including props, special effects, transportation, music and more, one can see just how many moving pieces needed to constantly be attended to in order to successfully pull off a Lonesome Dove-sized project. And please don’t forget – there were countless more individuals not listed here!
