Cooking has been added to Animal Crossing: New Horizons as of the exciting version 2.0 update. With it comes new things to grow and an emphasis, of course, on cooking ingredients. IGN's ACNH guide to vegetables and cooking ingredients in ACNH will walk you through how to grow wheat, get flour, and everything else you need to know about growing and finding ingredients for your favorite recipes in Animal Crossing.

How to Get It
Carrot
Carrots are plantable vegetables, which you can grow from starter seeds purchased from Lief or obtained by visiting a Mystery Island from Kapp'n's Boat Tours.
Round Mushroom
Mushrooms like the Round Mushroom appear in the fall season randomly near trees.
Flat Mushroom
Mushrooms like the Flat Mushroom appear in the fall season randomly near trees.
Skinny Mushroom
Mushrooms like the Skinny Mushroom appear in the fall season randomly near trees.
Elegant Mushroom
Mushrooms like the Elegant Mushroom appear in the fall season randomly near trees.
Rare Mushroom
As its name suggests, the Rare Mushroom is the most difficult to find. It's more likely to appear if you have a 5-Star Town Rating.
Potatoes
Potatoes grow from potato starter plants, which you can purchase from Leif if he is visiting your island or you can find them by visiting a mystery island through Kapp'n's Boat Tour.
Turnip

Apple
One of five potential starting fruit trees you'll find on your island. If you don't have this fruit you can ask for one from a friend or find a fruit tree on a Mystery Island tour.
Cherry
One of five potential starting fruit trees you'll find on your island. If you don't have this fruit you can ask for one from a friend or find a fruit tree on a Mystery Island tour.
Pear
One of five potential starting fruit trees you'll find on your island. If you don't have this fruit you can ask for one from a friend or find a fruit tree on a Mystery Island tour.
Peach
One of five potential starting fruit trees you'll find on your island. If you don't have this fruit you can ask for one from a friend or find a fruit tree on a Mystery Island tour.
Orange
One of five potential starting fruit trees you'll find on your island. If you don't have this fruit you can ask for one from a friend or find a fruit tree on a Mystery Island tour.
Coconut
A fruit you can find by going on a Mystery Island Tour by using a Nook Miles Ticket and flying with Dodo Airlines or taking a boat tour with Kapp'n.
Pumpkin
Pumpkins are grown. Purchase pumpkin starters from Nook's Cranny or Leif.
White Pumpkin
White pumpkins are a variation of the regular orange pumpkin. They grow randomly from pumpkin starters and are rarer than regular pumpkins. Purchase pumpkin starters from Nook's Cranny or Leif.
Green Pumpkin
Gree pumpkins are a variation of the regular orange pumpkin. They grow randomly from pumpkin starters and are rarer than regular pumpkins. Purchase pumpkin starters from Nook's Cranny or Leif.
Yellow Pumpkin
Yello pumpkins are a variation of the regular orange pumpkin. They grow randomly from pumpkin starters and are rarer than regular pumpkins. Purchase pumpkin starters from Nook's Cranny or Leif.

You can find bamboo by traveling to a Mystery Island via Dodo Airlines. You can also get these as a gift from Daisy Mae if you purchase turnips from her.
Clump of Weeds
Weeds will naturally grow on your island over time. You can pick these up as soon as they pop up on your islanld.
Wheat
Wheat is another ingredient you can grow by purchasing starter seeds from Leif or finding wheat on a mystery island via Kapp'n's Boat Tours.
Sugarcane
Sugarcane is another plant you can grow for cooking. You can either purchase starter seeds from Leif or find sugarcane in the wild on a mystery island by taking a boat tour with Kapp'n.
Flour
To make flour, you'll need to process five wheat.
Whole Wheat Flour
A variation of regular flour. You'll need to process five wheat to make this.
Sugar
Sugar is crafted from sugarcane. You'll need five sugarcanes to create sugar.
Brown Sugar
A variation of sugar. You'll need to process five sugarcane to create brown sugar.
