Kona Blue Fursuit.I've noticed there are a LOOOOOT of artists on here, especially furry artists like myself, who have difficulty discerning the difference between these six common types of undergarments when drawing characters in 'fancy clothing,' so I've whipped up a handy diagram to make things easy to understand I didn't bother shading it since it's only for reference purposes.1. Panties: Basically just frilly, tight underwear. Can be any colour or pattern.2.Socks: This one should be obvious, but usually only go ankle-high and made with thick, opaque material. Can be any colour or pattern.3. Stockings: Like socks, but much longer, usually going well up past the knees and stopping just bellow the hips. Usually made with thinner, lighter material that socks but still most often opaque. Can be any colour or pattern.4. Leggings: Usually made with a thick, durable, stretchy material, are form-fitting and act like underwear that extends all the way down to the ankles. Can be any colour or pattern.5.
Tights (my personal favourite): Made with similarly thin but opaque (usually) material as stockings, but envelope the entire lower half of the body from toe to abdomen, acting as both underwear AND footwear. Can be any colour or pattern.6. Pantyhose: Also known as 'nylons', they're very similar to tights except EXTREMELY thin and usually transparent or translucent. Thicker around the hip-area for durability and form fitting. Most often black, grey, white, beige or dark brown, with a few exceptions.Do not usually have patters, save for specialty costume ones which may have fake tattoos or scars and stitch marks printed on them for Halloween or the 'dark, edgy' types. If you think I missed anything or got anything wrong, please don't hesitate to tell me. I hope this is helpful to all you fellow artists out there.:3. In my opinion everything here is correct. But I have some details for the tights.Depending on what type of tights they are, they might be thicker, for example if they're winter tights, then they'll be a bit fuzzy to the touch and made out of thicker material to where they won't be see-through in the normal places(bottom of feet/paws and thighs) like normal tights are. This detail probably doesn't really matter that much, just wanted to state that oof. But this is really good and I'll keep it in mind next time I'm drawing clothing like that! How I Draw Anthro Hand PawsHello again everyone! Since my chibi tutorial received well, so I decided to do another.By popular vote in poll, today I'll be showing you the process of how I draw anthro hand paws. Except it's more broken down than what I usually do so that it's easier to follow ^^Keep in mind that this is a How I Draw, and not How TO draw. There are many different styles and ways to do these paws, but this is the way I go about them.Step 1: BaseHere I start out with a base for the paw. A circle works, but mine are usually a bit pentagonal and have a bit of shape. This depends on your own character's paws, or your own art style!Step 2: ThumbHere I usually just go straight into the thumb. Mine usually start near the middle of the paw, have a slight bump as they come out of the paw, and circle back to the wrist. It's a good idea to look at your own hand as you do this, so that you can understand the shape.Step 3: Finger bases
Here I begin with the finger line bases. It's a good idea to draw the middle one first, since it's the tallest. Then you can draw the other two, which should be smaller in comparison. (You can use this line base method for the paw too if you prefer)Step 4: Creating the Finger PawsHere I am creating the fingers by going around the line. My paws are usually thicker at the ends, and thinner at the base. Mine also look a bit rectangular. Again, this is all preference! Your paws can look however, depending on your species and art style!I like to keep a small separation between each one at the base whenever the finger paws are spread out like this. Again, it's a good idea to look at your own hand as you draw.Step 5: CleaningHere I've cleaned up my sketch a bit for sake of clarity. I have erased most of the base circle and some of the ugly lines lolStep 6: Finger padsA pretty simple step here. All I did was add circles to the inside of the fingers. They can be circles, ovals, or whatever you feel really :^DStep 7: Claws and Center Paw PadAnother simple step! I added my center paw pad, as well as my claws. Again, shapes can be however you see fit at this point. :ok_hand: Step 8: ColorNormally I would lower the opacity of the sketch layer and redraw the lineart, but I'm a little lazy lol. So here I went straight into coloring. Another simple step here, just color as your fursona looks.Step 9: Shading and Done!I won't go into too much depth year since this tutorial is only for anatomy and not shading. But I will say it's a good idea to remember where your light source comes from as you shade. :sunny: Extra tidbitsOnce you understand the basic shape and anatomy of the handpaw, you can start trying some other poses like these for example! These can ALL follow the steps shown here! Feel free to try these out too.Another protip, it may help to draw the object your character is holding first, and then draw the handpaws. You don't want the object to end up deformed! And that's that! That's all I really have to say on the topic, I hope this helps some people! If you have any questions , feel free to ask! Otherwise, happy drawing! :sparkles:
