Game of Thrones Showrunners Reveal Where Drogon Took Daenerys’ Body

Game of Thrones season eight divided fans. It changed Daenerys Targaryen in a way that upset viewers and in the end, there’s nothing that can be done about it. Either way, though; we were left wondering what happened to the Mother of Dragons’ body after Jon Snow killed her. The last we saw of the Queen was her sole dragon Drogon take her body away. The HBO series may have ended, but showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss finally confirm what happened to Daenerys’ Stormborn’s body.

Benioff first addressed the rumor that Drogon would have eaten Daenerys:

“Drogon’s not going to eat you – he’s not a cat. Did you see how gently he was nudging you?”

In a DVD commentary, D&D confirms that Drogon took her to Volantis, which is the homeland of the Targaryens and dragons. This will make fans hope that Drogon took Daenerys to Kinvara, who is a character that was mentioned early on in the series – who has the power to resurrect people. The thing is, though; we’ll never know, considering Game of Thrones has ended and there are no plans for a sequel series.
