Before I do, I was just wondering if there are any tuners on the west coast. I'm in CA. and would rather not ship it so far in fear of damage to the gun. Logged Tater Re: Gamo Tuning « Reply #1 on: June 06, 2017, 01:10:55 PM » I understand the reluctance to ship that far, but if you do ship it to OleTomCat you won't be disappointed. He really knows Gamos. Logged Hammerli Pneuma Elite 10 .177, DonnyFL Sumo ldc - For sale .22 Disco/Maximus mix, Rocker1 ldc Gamo Hornet .1771377, steel breech, TKO, 12" barrel, R. It has to do mostly with the cost of labor versus the value of the gun.OleTomCat is "the" go to Gamo Guy.You could POSSIBLY ask Mike Melick to tune your gun but he's in Iowa so you wouldn't be that much closer. If I were having a Gamo tuned my first choice would be OleTomCat. Logged - Near the Southern Coast of Washington State

This was no run of the mill change a spring and debur tune either. OleTomCat (Al) had to order a new seal from Australia that was for a Hunter Extreme but it would not fit over the piston top because the Extreme uses a screw on seal so Al modified the HP's piston and fit and sized the seal smoothed all internals to taste and I chopped the barrel down remove a self inflicted bend ). I found a Spring from ARH that fit the 32MM action and dropped it down to 12.5 FPE after the chop from 19 FPE stock. All my gamo have the GRT4 triggers installed by Al while I am at the monthly fun shoots at his place in Cross SC. The grouping below was @ 25 yards using CPL brown box. When it comes to Gamos he's the man. He has installed five GRT triggers in my guns. Never had him do a full tune but at the KY fun shoot he converted my Gamo Swarm repeater to springer. I just don't care for gas ram. He used a factory Gamo guide that comes with a washer, a medium weight top hat, a new seal and a Maccari spring. He also installed a GRT trigger. Before AfterStock trigger average 2lbs 9oz He had the GRT at 2.5lbs. I adjusted it to 10.5oz RWS Hobbies 7.0 grs 1040fps avg. (passed the safety test)RWS Miester. 8.2grs 972 Hobbies 843fpsRWS Super Mags 9.3grs 883 Miesters. 746 Super Mags 640 Shot cycle is a lot smoother. Still haven't found the pellet it likes but it shoots better than it did. Might need some more breaking in or maybe I'll take some weight out of the butt stock. He also installed a Tuna triggers in my pawn shop Storm and Shadow. He set both triggers at exactly 1lbs. Way back he put Tuna triggers in my other Storm and my old Silent Cat. Excellent! I'm happy with all five guns.Probably want make you feel any better but I've bought gun off the classified from guys in CA., OR. and Alaska and got 'em okay. I tend to pack really well with either popcorn or with bubble wrap, and wadded paper. Oh- and to me, it's worth 3-4 dollars for insuring a gun that you're shipping too.
