The release date and time of the Genshin Impact update 2.6 is 11 AM (UTC+8) on Wednesday, March 30th, 2022. Well, to be more exact, the official info says that update maintenance will begin at 6 AM (UTC+8) and is expected to last five hours. So, it might wrap up sooner than that, or it might last longer if the devs run into some unexpected issues. That doesn’t happen very often, though; miHoYo have a pretty good record of sticking to their update schedule.

Now, let’s “translate” UTC+8 to some other time zones. 6 AM there is midnight CEST, meaning that maintenance should wrap up at 5 AM CEST on March 30th. That’s 6 PM / 11 PM Eastern Time on March 29th, aka 3 PM / 8 PM Pacific Time on March 29th. In British time, the servers should go down at 11 PM on March 29th and come back up at 4 AM on March 30th. In Australia, the downtime will end at 1 PM AEST. Lastly, in New Zealand Daylight Time, the downtime should last from 11 AM to 4 PM on March 30th. I think you can figure out your own Genshin Impact 2.6 release date and time from there, my brain is starting to hurt.

Keep in mind that you’ll have to update the game manually when the downtime is over. On PC, close the game, open the launcher and click Update. On iOS, find the game in the App Store and tap Update.
