Diona will soon be a free reward for an upcoming event in Genshin Impact. This guide will show players how they can obtain them. It's not very often when players are able to obtain character outside of the Wish mechanic. This is the way that Genshin Impact makes a majority of its money so it makes sense for them to lock characters behind its gacha mechanic. Players would invest all their Primogems for a chance to obtain a new 4 or 5-star character. Fortunately, Diona, a 4-star Cyro character will be made available as a reward for an upcoming event. This guide will show players how they can obtain Diona for free in Genshin Impact.

Free-to-play players have had to hold their current party pretty close. If players have been lucky enough to pull for a character without putting money into the game, they should probably invest in a few lottery tickets. The gacha system in Genshin Impact is incredibly unforgiving, especially for players with higher Adventure Ranks. It becomes more difficult to grind for Primogems with little to do in the overworld. Diona herself has been a part of the game since November and has been a welcomed addition to the roster. Here is how players can collect her for free.

How To Get Diona For Free in Genshin Impact

To obtain Diona, players will need to participate in the upcoming Energy Amplifier Initiation event. The event was previewed as part of a preview demonstrating what was to come for the future of the Genshin Impact 1.5 update. During this event, players will be able to participate in new Domains and Twisted Realms to locate Fractured Fruits. These have been requested by a researcher from Sumeru. These Fruit will act as points that players can trade-in for a variety of rewards. Amongst these rewards are Primogems, Mora, a Crown of Insight, Hero's Wit, and Mystic Enhancement Ore. Once the player completes the event, they will be given Diona for free.

At the time of the writing of this article, the date of the event has yet to be revealed. Although, it shouldn't be too long since it's already a part of the game's newest update. Free characters are an excellent way to keep players coming back for more. Genshin Impact has hosted tons of events in 2021 that provide players with additional Primogems. Regardless, a reason to explore the world of Teyvat is always a good thing.
