How to Get Magnetic Lure in Pokemon GO
The only surefire way to get a Magnetic Lure in Pokemon GO is to purchase it from the in-game store. It costs 200 Coins, so I really hope that you have some saved up. If not, a quick refresher: there are two methods of getting in-game Coins in this game. The first one is to purchase them with real money, which is always an option in free-to-play games, but I definitely discourage it if you can at all avoid that route. The other way to get Coins is to control a Gym by placing one of your Pokemon in a Gym that your team is in charge of. You can earn up to 50 Coins a day, for which you control a gym for about eight and a half hours. You get six Coins per hour.
The other way to get a Magnetic Lure in Pokemon GO is to earn one through doing certain Special Research Tasks, but the shop is really the only consistent way of obtaining them. So, with all of that said, what do you need the Magnetic Lure for in the first place? Well, for one, if you place it on a PokeStop, it’ll attract Steel, Electric and Rock Pokemon. That’s all cool and good, but more importantly, there’s currently a challenge that requires you to evolve Nosepass in Pokemon GO. To do that, you need 50 Candies and you need to be in the vicinity of a PokeStop that has a Magnetic Lure. So, that’s why you have to obtain one. Alternatively, you can go around from PokeStop to PokeStop in your area and see whether another player has already placed the Lure you need.
