How Old Are Britney’s Kids, Sean and Jayden?

Sean and Jayden are 16 and 15, respectively. Britney had her first son on September 14, 2005, when she was 24 years old, and she had her second roughly a year later on September 12, 2006. Sean was born approximately a year after Britney married her former backup dancer Kevin Federline in October 2004. The couple subsequently divorced in July 2007.

What Is Britney’s Current Relationship With Them?

After her divorce in 2007, Britney lost custody of her two boys to Kevin. A year later, the singer was arrested after an incident in which she locked herself in a bathroom with Jayden, who was a year old at the time. As a result, Britney was legally granted two visits and one overnight stay per week.

In February 2008, she entered into a now-infamous conservatorship with her father, Jamie Spears, and was given fifty-fifty custody with Kevin as a part of the arrangement. More than a decade later in September 2019, her custody was reduced to 30 percent, with Kevin getting 70 percent.

Despite her conservatorship finally ending in November, the singer’s custody arrangement is not expected to change. According to TMZ, the current arrangement has been working for the family, as Britney is still able to see her children whenever they mutually decide they want that and because both boys are getting older and generally need less parental supervision.

Does Britney Pay Kevin Child Support?

She sure does. Britney has reportedly been paying Kevin $20,000 a month in child support as well as tuition and schooling, per TMZ. Not to mention the additional $35,000 per month for the boys’ clothing, extracurriculars, and other expenses.

In 2018, Kevin asked Britney to increase her money for child support from $20,000 to $60,000 a month, saying, “The kids are older and the financial circumstances of the parties are significantly different than when the child support was originally resolved.”

Okay, So Are She and Her Sons All Good?

All good! She even shared a sweet Insta on March 24, saying, “My 2 sons are geniuses !!! Jayden can play jazz 🎷 and literally anything on the piano 🎹 !!! His gift scares me. We watched Green Book and he sat down and immediately started playing the blues.”

Last September, the singer also took to Instagram to share some ~thoughts~ on her boys’ birthdays.
