Gift Wrapping Guide: How To Wrap A Biscuit Tin - Good Housekeeping

Christmas is the season of giving and sometimes, a beautifully wrapped gift can be almost as exciting to receive as the contents itself.

There are few things as satisfying as seeing a stack of perfect gifts in co-ordinating wrapping paper and neat ribbons. You might even add some decorative extras like tinsel or sprigs of holly or tinsel, if you're feeling bold.

While a standard cube or rectangle can make a picture-perfect present, anything shaped a little more unusually could throw a spanner in the works. For example, biscuits tins and selection boxes can be a nightmare to package, and don't always look pretty under the tree if your wrapping doesn't quite go to plan.

How to wrap a biscuit tin

You'll need a few bits and pieces to get started and then you can follow our clear, step by step guide.

What you need:

• Wrapping paper
• Double-sided sticky tape
• Scissors
• Decorations (optional)

STEP 1: Fold down one short edge, apply double sided sticky tape. Wrap paper around the rounded edge and seal with the tape.

STEP 2: Begin folding the paper down in a pleating fashion. Make your way around one side of the tin.

STEP 3: Once done, seal with sticky tape, and add a rounded disk shaped piece of wrapping paper to hide any mess.

STEP 4: Repeat the process the other side.

To decorate: Add some ribbon, of course!
