This Give Potion Generator creates the Minecraft Java Edition (PC/Mac) command you can use to give a player a custom potion with names and lore.

If you need help completing a section, click on the tooltip button to display the instructions. When you have finished customizing your potion, click on the Generate Command button and then copy/paste the command into Minecraft.

Instructions: Select a target player from the dropdown. If you select --Enter player name-- you will be able to enter the name of the player to give the potion to. If you do not provide a Player Name, the generator will use @p which will give the potion to the closest player.

Instructions: You can use target selector arguments to reduce the number of players or entities being targeted. The options are as follows:

  • Limit - Maximum number of entities to return. It must be an integer value that is 1 or greater.
  • Team - Entities on team.
  • Level - Experience level. It must be an integer value that is 0 or greater.
  • Name - Entity name.
  • Gamemode - Players with gamemode.
  • Sort - Sort the entities.
  • dx - Entities between x and x + dx.
  • dy - Entities between y and y + dy.
  • dz - Entities between z and z + dz.
  • Distance - Distance to entity.
  • x - x position.
  • y - y position.
  • z - z position.
  • x rotation - Entity's x rotation.
  • y rotation - Entity's y rotation.

Instructions: Select a potion from the dropdown and then choose a quantity. Add a custom name for the potion and any lore or information about the potion.

TIP: In the steps that contain Lores, you can get multi-line Lores by separating each line of the Lore with a | character. For example: if you enter The bubbliest potion|EVER in the Lore field, you will get a two line Lore. The first line will contain The bubbliest potion and the second line will contain EVER.

Note: Some enchantments cannot be combined with others. If you select an enchantment, incompatible enchantments will gray out and not be selectable.
