  • 1 lb carrot, cut into 1/4 in thick sticks
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon orange zest
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar

  • Melt the butter in a microwave resistant container that is large enough to hold all the carrots. Add the rest of the ingredients and toss to combine.
  • Cover and cook 5-8 minutes or until carrots are crisp-tender. Serve, garnishing with more orange zest, if desired.

  2. Quick, easy, tasty - my kind of side dish! I've never used orange zest in my glazed carrots and I think I would add more next time because I couldn't really taste it.
