The goblin tinkerer is an NPC found in natural caverns or the dungeon after the first appearance of the goblin army. Once a player talks to him, he will move into any empty house.
The goblin tinkerer sells a number of useful items including the invaluable spiky balls. He also has the unique ability to permanently buff items through reforging.
