Good Bones: Everything To Know About Mina's Husband Steve Hawk

Behind every successful businesswoman and reality star is a dependable husband, and that's certainly true for Good Bones star Mina Starsiak and her husband, Steve Hawk. Leading up to Good Bones season 6, Mina claimed control of the family-run home renovation business, Two Chicks and a Hammer. Although he doesn't do much of the heavy lifting, Steve has been an essential part of Mina's reality TV rebuilding effort.

Although the goal of Good Bones is to rebuild Indianapolis neighborhoods, Mina's family has been the emotional core of the series. From starting Two Chicks and a Hammer with her mother, Karen E. Laine, to working with several siblings and in-laws, Mina's family is a vital part of her professional and personal life. Unlike most of Mina's family, Steve hasn't taken on a significant role in Two Chicks and a Hammer. However, he has appeared on Good Bones alongside his wife, just enough to make fans curious about his story. As it turns out, Steve's career background and journey to marriage with Mina are just as compelling as any Good Bones episode.

Steve & Mina's Long-Lasting Relationship

Steve & Mina's Family Is A Work In Progress

Steve and Mina's family has been a project in development for longer than any of the homes Two Chicks and a Hammer have built on Good Bones. Steve and Mina met almost a decade ago, back in 2013. The couple was introduced through Facebook, according to an interview with Country Living. Mina said that she found Steve's profile on the social media site, and thought that he was, "stunningly handsome." Regrettably, Steve didn't make the best first impression when Mina met with him in real life. Mina explained that they watched a basketball game in a group setting, during which Steve, "ignored [Mina] all night." Karen shared that Steve and Mina's relationship hit some bumps early in the road, as Steve behaved, "in a phenomenally bad way." Fortunately, Steve was able to make it up to 36-year-old entrepreneur and reality star Mina, and their relationship got back on track.

Steve Proposed To Mina In 2015

In March 2015, just before the Good Bones pilot was filmed, Steve proposed to Mina. Steve took Mina to the Indianapolis Colts' training field to ask for her hand in marriage. On June 11, 2016, Steve and Mina got married, and by August 2018, the couples' first child, Jack, was born. In 2020, Steve and Mina shared that they were having trouble getting pregnant again. Steve appeared on Good Bones frequently during the couple's process of experimenting with in vitro fertilization. Ultimately, Steve and Mina welcomed their daughter, Charlotte, in September 2020.

When Steve's not busy family planning, he works as an account executive with the CoStar Group, a commercial property company. According to his LinkedIn, Steve acquired his expertise in accounting at Indiana University Bloomington. His Instagram account, srhawk2003, demonstrates that while he is business-minded, Steve's life is centered around his Good Bones family.

Steve might not be the reality star of his family, but he has proven himself to be a vital part of Good Bones lore. From his rocky start with Mina, to overcoming years of infertility, Steve has shown that he's a model husband, on and off of reality TV. Although he prefers to keep his life behind the scenes, fans hope to learn more about Steve and his handy family on Good Bones.
