Questrom School of Business Policy

Undergraduate

For information about graduating with Latin Honors, please see the BU Registrar’s website.

Graduate

Honors will be awarded to graduates whose cumulative grade point average (CGPA) is 3.55 or higher. High honors will be awarded to graduates whose CGPA is 3.70 or higher. Honors are not awarded for MiM or PhD graduates.

Beta Gamma Sigma

The highest-achieving students based on GPA are eligible for induction into the Beta Gamma Sigma International Honor Society. Selection for Beta Gamma Sigma is made on the basis of cumulative GPA once students have applied for graduation (graduate students) or while they are seniors and juniors (undergraduates). Students who fail to submit an Application for Graduation by the date indicated in the graduation section of the student handbook will not be reviewed for Beta Gamma Sigma eligibility.

Upon successful dissertation defense, all PhD graduates are offered admittance into Beta Gamma Sigma. MiM students are not considered for Beta Gamma Sigma due to lack of GPA in their program.
