Red Dead Redemption 2: Complete Graves Locations Guide & Paying Respects Trophy

As an outlaw in Red Dead Redemption 2, death is a constant companion. Throughout the main story, many of Dutch’s gang members meet tragic ends, and their graves are scattered across the world. After you finish the game, you can visit the resting places of these fallen companions. There are a total of 9 grave locations you must find to unlock the Paying Respects trophy or achievement. This Graves guide will help you find the exact locations and details on how to pay your respects to each character.

Important Notes:

  • Graves appear after certain events in the story as gang members die. It’s easiest to find them after completing the main storyline, in the endgame.
  • Interact with each grave to pay your respects and trigger the related animation.
  • The order in which you visit the graves doesn’t matter.
  • Finding all 9 graves contributes to 3.4% of your total game completion.
  • Earning the Paying Respects trophy/achievement requires you to visit all 9 graves.

All 9 Grave Locations in Red Dead Redemption 2

After completing the main storyline and watching the credits roll, you’ll unlock the “Graves” section in your collectibles menu. Each grave you visit will be marked here, and interacting with them will help you unlock the Paying Respects achievement.

Below is a list of all 9 grave locations, along with detailed instructions to help you find them.

1. Sean MacGuire Grave Location

  • Location: Northwest of Rhodes, on a hill along Flat Iron Lake’s shoreline.
  • How to Find It: Head to the coordinates above, and you’ll spot Sean MacGuire’s grave. Interact with the grave to pay your respects.

2. Kieran Duffy Grave Location

  • Location: East of Braithwaite Manor, Lemoyne.
  • How to Find It: Kieran’s grave is in a large open field near the treeline. Approach the area and inspect the grave to honor Kieran.

3&4. Hosea Matthews & Lenny Summers Grave Location

  • Location: North of Saint Denis, east of the Bait Shop at Lagras.
  • How to Find It: Hosea’s grave lies beside Lenny Summers’ grave near a large tree. Interact with both to pay respects.

5. Lenny Summers Grave Location

  • Location: Northeast of Emerald Station, near Elysian Pool.
  • How to Find It: Head to the top of the cliffside overlooking the railroad tracks. Susan’s grave is located here.

6. Arthur Morgan Grave Location

  • Location: East of Bacchus Station, near the Mysterious Hill Home.
  • How to Find It: Follow the hillside behind the mysterious house. Depending on your honor level, you’ll see either an eagle (high honor) or a wolf (low honor) near the grave. Interact with the grave to pay respects to Arthur.

  • Location: West of Donner Falls, in a clearing.
  • How to Find It: The grave is located with a direct view of the falls. Approach the clearing and pay your respects to Eagle Flies.

8. Davey Callander Grave Location

  • Location: Behind the old church in Colter.
  • How to Find It: Davey’s grave is in the graveyard behind the church. Interact with it to pay respects.

9. Jenny Kirk Grave Location

  • Location: East of Glacier, along Spider Gorge.
  • How to Find It: Follow the banks of the river north from Colter until you reach a clearing. Jenny’s grave will be in this area.

By visiting all 9 graves, you’ll unlock the Paying Respects trophy/achievement and earn a sense of closure for the gang members who met tragic ends during the story.

    This was a complete waste of time. Yes it lead me to the grave sites well sorta, still had a ton of searching near the areas. The waste of time is that it did absolutely nothing. There was no reward and most of the graves I could not have cared less to know. In real life I may have considered paying respect to Lenny! Hosea only because he was right next to Lenny. The rest, even Arthur, who care’s!!

    Actually you can go immediately to Davey’s grave immediately after you return John to camp, and before going out on any missions. Just walk around the corner to his grave, you don’t have to wait until the end of the game on that one.
