Well, it’s Groundhog Day. Again …

And that means all eyes were on Punxsutawney Phil — and other regional rodent prognosticators of rest-of-winter forecasts.

According to legend and tradition, if the groundhog sees its shadow, that means six more weeks of winter. If not, it’s a sign of an early spring.

So did the groundhog see his shadow? Here’s what some saw on Groundhog Day 2022.­

Shadow

Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow Wednesday morning at Gobbler’s Knob in western Pennsylvania, during an in-person ceremony streamed online. That means more wintry weather.

No shadow

Staten Island Chuck, one of Punxsutaney Phil’s biggest rivals, predicted an early spring from the Staten Island Zoo.

Same results in New Jersey. Neither Lady Edwina of Essex of the Turtle Back Zoo in Essex County nor Stonewall the groundhog at Space Farms in Sussex County saw a shadow.
